After a 10 minute drive from our office, this cute cafe was posted in blogs as my friend told me upon arriving here. This is located in the 3rd floor of the newly built Hemady Square in Doña Hemady St, New Manila, Quezon City.
The pink lights were so cute for the flower design was perfect for the light. The interior was designed very well to make it look so cute.
Everything is pink and cute which I really like because I'm a fan of cute stuff.
Cute Menu |
They have a one page menu for their food and it was fortunate that they serve main meals. I told my friend that rarely do cafes serve rice meals but in this cafe they serve such meals.
Another page is for the desserts and drinks.
I was so glad to know that there are healthy and affordable snacks in SM Savemore. I tried the Turon Espesyal Combo which is a 20 pesos snack that consists of turon and water is filling and nutritious.
The turon was really big and had lots of bananas. These snacks become another good food option.

After we had dinner, we made a short trip to the new dessert shop Cookie Dream located in SM Mall of Asia. I researched about cookie dream before eating here but I can't imagine cookies and ice cream together.
My brother bought discounted online coupons that we can use here but I must say the price is really reasonable because the cookie ice cream tastes really delicious.
The place gives you a feeling of a cool atmosphere probably because of how the lights were set-up.
Table arrangement outside the shop |
This restaurant has been operating since I was in college but I did get to try the food here only after graduating college. Eating Japanese food here was the first time I've ever eaten Japanese food and I tried the California Maki Rolls. I am thankful that first time introduction to Japanese food gave me a positive view on Japanese cuisine from what I was always used to.
Ever since I tasted Yutaka's version of California Maki, this has been the standard for all other California Maki I will eat because this is my first maki. The taste of freshness of the ingredients and right saltiness level are two things in Yutaka's maki that I really like.
They have a good menu if you are interested to try Japanese food.
Here the menu for you to browse through:
Or you can order SETS
Finally, when you get to choose what dish you would like to try at Yutaka, don't forget to ask for their free unlimited house tea as long as you're dining in.
I think this is one of the few Japanese restaurants in Quezon city. I remember a former schoolmate who lived in Japan for a month or two once told me that Yutaka tastes like authentic Japanese food so I remembered that when I finally ate there.

Chips or junk food
I'm not promoting Fritolays but rather sharing my experience in eating their chips and other chips. I've started eating this chips only when I started my second job because I wanted to try new food.
These junk foods are found usually in the imported goods section after the local junk foods section in groceries.
Update: This restaurant is already closed. I'm a bit sad because I really like the chicken here.
If you happen to be in the area in Quezon city near SM Sta. Mesa, you must try this korean restaurant, Holdak. I've been eating in this place for quite some time and I thought I might share the experience.

We were really hungry after checking out some gown stores in the market so Ms. K brought us to Mama Chit's, the most nearby food place in our location in the city. Mama Chit's is located in a street that is a one-way street so if you're bringing a car, it may be difficult to park if there are no more slots.
Marikina is a city that has quite a number of unique food establishments. Fortunately, I have a self-confessed foodie friend who lives in Marikina and let's call her Ms. K. I have eaten in several food establishments in Marikina but sadly I've been not documenting them that time so I will surely eat again hopefully and make sure to blog about it.
The menu can be compared to an American burger place. As Ms. K gave me a heads-up that the owner of this place lived in America and thus the inspiration for this food venture. I was amazed that they offer several kinds of sandwich.
They also serve various flavors of shakes which I didn't get to try though. They have several variants of Ice Tea and Floats.
I've heard about Mama Chit's from my friend who saw it being featured in Kris
TV. I heard that Ms. Kris liked the big burger they served here so I felt it was a
good timing that we got to eat in a recommended burger place.
There were several empty vintage bottle containers that complemented the whole concept of the interior of the place. Ms. K told me that they already made this place bigger but I just wished the place would be bigger soon.

Mayo, Ketsup & Mustard |
Chili Sauce |
Ms. K said that this chili sauce is quite famous and this is the first time I'm seeing it. We had to wait for our orders since it is still being cooked. When we came here, there were a few customers because we went here early afternoon but I know this place is usually jam-packed.

What really amazed me was when I waited in the counter for my ice cream, the crew who was scooping my ice cream was molding it into a ball and continuously mixing it whilst tossing it an upward motion. The crew who took my order asked me if I wanted to catch my ice cream with the cup to which I immediately refused for I have shaky hands.
The flavor I chose was the double
chocolate in the Like it size (2nd size to the smallest) for I
was staying a bit longer. I felt so happy when I took my first bite of the ice cream because I would be finishing a very delicious cup of ice cream. It was so creamy and flavorful. I really like chocolate but this chocolate is one of the best and few ones I've ever tasted. It was still cold to me because of my sensitivity but it didn't matter. The price of the ice cream here is a bit high than the average price ranges but for me, I think the ice cream I ate was worth the money I paid for.
I liked how Cold Stone Creamery's interior - the bright lights, plain looking menu, and the simple furniture.
At first, I was one of the few customers but group of friends suddenly came. It was my first time in this place and it was comfortable staying because of the lively ambiance. Every time I get to pass by Cold Stone Creameries in Robinsons Galleria and also in SM MOA, it was always jam-packed with people and now I know that it is because of everything about Cold Stone Creamery is well-thought of- wide selection of ice cream flavors, table setting and ice cream catching stunt (seen in the video below).
It was a hot day when I arrived at Robinson's Galleria and I have to wait for a bit at this mall for my mom and brother so I decided to stay at Cold Stone
Creamery.
The crew were so friendly and was enthusiastically offering various
ice cream flavors. As always, I order the chocolate flavor if
it is my first time to try something in a place. I’m not really a fan of ice
cream since I find it way too cold for my teeth but I felt hot that day due to
the weather.

I don't know anybody in this video and it is not my intention to capture your faces but video the catching of the Ice cream scoops which was very entertaining.
There are still a lot of flavors I can try at Cold stone so
I hope I will be able to try them sometime.
It was an amazing experience to eat delicious ice cream in a
comfy place where ice cream balls can be easily tossed and caught by another
crew with the cup. You can see what I’m talking about In the video below.
The Ice cream parlor is strategically positioned at one of
the entrances of the mall so it is easily noticed. I liked that the place was big enough
for group of friends who want to eat ice cream, talk and bond for quite some
time.

If I may rate Cold Stone Creamery, I give it a 10/10 rating for
everything good that it has. I guarantee that you will have a great experience in
Cold Stone just as I did.
