Ga Mi Jung: Authentic Korean Restaurant in Antipolo

Way ahead, we planned to have my birthday where we would cook Korean dishes and set that date. When that day finally came, circumstances made it difficult for us to cook our dinner (we cooked a Korean dish for brunch instead on the following day) that we just decided to eat a Korean restaurant which was Ga Mi Jung. My two foodie buddies have eaten here before and they were happy with the food so it was nice that I got to eat the food they were raving before.
This is what the entrance looks like. They have a space for parking in the front but I wasn't able to take a picture of that.
It is located in Sumulong Highway in Antipolo. You can commute to Ga Mi Jung by riding the LRT/jeep/UV express to Santolan station. From Santolan station, you must ride the Antipolo/Cogeo jeep and tell the driver to drop you off at Masinag Junction (click the link for the image of the place)
From there, you have to ride a tricycle (5 minute ride) going to the said Korean restaurant. The place is not easy to go to when commuting but it is worth the effort.
Ga Mi Jung offers a wide selections of authentic Korean dishes as seen in the menu pages below. The menu was so detailed as every dish had a clear colored picture which helped us decide better even if we were not knowledgeable about a dish.
Free side dishes were served in small bowls

| Top left -clockwise: Korean fish cakes, dried anchovies, Kimchi, Gamjajeon, Spicy pickled radish, Namul |
Gamjajeon is korean-style potato pancakes (jeon)
Namul is steamed, marinated, or stir-fried vegetables usually seasoned with sesame oil, salt, vinegar, minced garlic, chopped green onions, dried chili peppers, and soy sauce. In our case we have cucumbers.
I felt like we were really eating in Korea because we had many (free) side dishes (banchan).
Even the utensils were like the ones you use in Korea- metal chopsticks and long-handle spoons.
The furniture were also very Korean. I was anticipating that the food will be authentic Korean which made me excited to eat.
This is what we ordered. This is way too much for 3 persons so I suggest you order just enough.

I didn't know anything about this restaurant but we wanted to eat here because it was a Korean restaurant. We all love Korean food and we were really hungry so we decided quickly that we should eat here and it was a good decision.

I like to try different foods so when I saw Papa Chalupa in SM Megamall food court, I wanted to try the food. The poster was effective for the picture of the food looked so delicious to me. Even the line in it "Not a taco!" made me interested more about what Chalupa is.
They have 2 kinds of Chalupa: Beef and Chicken that comes in 3 variants: Classic, Chipotle, and Queso Mexicana. You can even add cheese, beef or chicken.
The price of the Chalupa is equivalent to a meal already so I thought maybe this can be my dinner instead of being my snack.
The dough was only made when I ordered my chalupa. I just didn't get a picture because the server was quick to mold the dough.
Several ingredients are put inside the dough and then folded to be fried in this high-tech fryer. I like this deep-fryer because you can perfectly fry in it.
I like that they have a Bible verse in the packaging. The packaging is also nice and detailed.
I ordered the Classic Beef Chalupa. It was really good in my opinion especially when I ate it after it cooled down a bit. The bread was soft and crisp at the same time. The fillings created a perfect meat and cheese combination. I think the whole Chalupa can be shared by 2 persons as a snack because it is so filling. Try the delicious Chalupa sometime when you pass by Papa Chalupa in SM Megamall food court!

For the longest time, my
friends/former classmates wanted to meet up and eat out and it finally took place in Ippudo Ramen in 3F Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall.
Some picture-taking for profile pictures :) The place has a nice Japanese feel to it, the lighting and the furniture is designed really well.
Actually, the nice lighting and the noodle bowls as background makes our group pictures look nice.

I always ask for free hot tea in Asian restaurants if it is available. I like drinking hot tea before and after eating (not while eating).
We ordered 2 ramen noodles. One bowl was shared by two persons because
we were full because we ate before we met and it was actually late at
that time but I think in Japan, Ramen is never shared so anyway.

When I want to eat something sweet and delicious, Krispy Kreme doughnuts always come to mind.
After roaming around the mall and shopping with my cousin who needed to buy some things, she treated us to Krispy Kreme.
