I've been watching korean dramas since I was in second year high school and that turned me into a person who liked Korean culture - makeup trends, fashion, and even Kpop (music). Just this lately, I started eating korean food but I really wanted to eat it before but it was just like 5 years ago that Korean restaurants that were just once in Malate, Manila, are now scattered in Metro Manila, even in Tagaytay, Baguio and other places in the Philippines so I got more exposure to Korean food now.
Click on the names of the restaurants and see my post about it.
Fried Chicken
Kyochon - This is a relatively new korean chicken place with great food, service and ambiance.

Holdak - A good place to eat korean chicken and probably some ice cream.

Our next stop after Silantro was Lucca Bakery just because we were in UP town center and we wanted something sweet. The place looked nice from the outside, it had a modern feel to it.
I really like the interior of the place. You can see that the place looks clean and modern.
They have a nice looking menu. I really don't know about Lucca bakery but it seems that they have given thought to small things such as this menu, the containers, utensils, chairs and tables which all fit perfectly together.

It was a humid day but we still pushed through with our food cravings and ended up in Silantro.
My foodie friend has already tried the food in this Fil-Mex place and she highly recommends the food here.
The place is located at 75 East Capitol Drive. When you are driving, this place is at the left side when you are coming from Shaw Boulevard and at the right side of the road so you just need to find a parking space like we did.
When we arrived at the place, it was late afternoon but just before 5 pm yet we had to be seated outside before we eventually got in because there were a lot of customers.
As you can see, their menu is simple and you just have to pick the food you like. I like the design of their menu, the font and drawings were nice to look at.
Here's a glimpse of the food we ordered.

I have passed by Satchmi for a couple of times and I never thought it was also a cafe. I do know that this is a store where they sell vinyl records which is the old storage for music or those black round things that look like a big CD. My cousin wanted to try the cafe because it it was listed as one of the nicest looking cafes in Metro Manila so one afternoon we went to Satchmi :)
When we ordered our coffee, the barista placed it near this vinyl record players. I was so scared that I might damage these devices so we changed our seat here as seen below.
I can say they can make cute coffee art like this cute bunny in this flat white drink.
Here is a video of the coffee making

It's a nice place to see cool things which many of them are my first time to see. The place is great for those who are collector of vinyl records because you can buy stuff here also.
I think in this room you can play and listen to the vinyl records. We did not attempt to try that though.

Just in time for summer, I want to share Dakasi Milk tea if you haven't heard of it or tried it, it's really worth it. Since 2012, I've been fortunate to try most of their drinks in their Banawe branch because it's near our office.

If you've never been to Banawe, you can still find this branch, its just adjacent to the tricycle terminal and happens to be in the street where the famous Banawe car repair shops are also located. Dakasi has a lot of branches in Ayala malls so you can try there too.
When I first went inside Dakasi, I really liked that its so clean and organized - from the equipments they use to make the milk teas to the designs of the walls. I usually ordered my drink for take-out but when I stayed there to drink my milk tea and just hangout and talk with my friend/brother, it was nice because they really have bright-colored and comfortable chairs.
The Banawe branch is a lot bigger than the other branches in the mall but the milk teas all taste the same in all branches I've tried so far.
